Since 2005 Mary & Denice have cared for a community cat colony after it became obvious that a neighborhood cat population wasn’t being managed. Starting with socialization efforts, fresh water, and quality food distribution twice daily, the colony slowly became acclimated to provided shelter and were easier to trap, spay/neuter, and release back in the community. We currently care for approximately 30 cats, multiple times a day, having decreased from a starting number of approximately 45. We continue to vet and TNR, as new cats arrive and have become quite experienced at bottle babies through the years. Our goal is to one day have a very large catio that we can house cats in and control the roaming that results in drawing attention of predator animals and unfortunate accidents.

September 18, 2021 - We were happy to join in on today's Community Cats Podcast Colony Caretakers Seminar and even happier to learn that the  Kirklands Cat Food we feed our colony was one of their 'top picks'!

September 8, 2020 - We were able to get 5 cats spayed and neutered this AM thanks to our partnership with Bastrop Cats and the low cost clinic ran by our friends at Save An Angel.
